![]() ![]() Going 1100 FPS I was seeing pressure signs in the primer (FED) so I I'm loading them a little longer than before. This might sound crazy but it will shoot 2" groups at 30 yards of the bench. Tested up to 4.6 Grains of 231 with a Rainier 115 gr round nose out of a lone wolf conversion barrel in a G22. This is almost identical to what I'm getting. Due to huge increases in bullet prices I will probably buy plated bullets the next time I make a bulk bullet purchase. The bullets in the chrony info below are Zero 115 gr JHP, and I'm shooting them in a Beretta Model 92. I load 124 RN bullets at about 1.145 to 1.150 just for reference. Ive found that 124 gr JHP/FN bullets of different manufactures will generally work in my 9mms at 1.070 to 1.100. My standard 9mm load for many years has been 4.6 gr of WW231 using a 115 gr JHP, not sure about the length. As Fred said, OAL will be different with JHP because of the Ogive of the bullet. More on topic for this thread, my now-standard Production load is:ġ24gr MG CMJ 1.150" over 4.7gr W231 with a WSP for a consistent 135PF out of my Shadow. Well, that and the fact that they will cycle my 92FS+T9 combo without a recoil booster with 100% reliability (when the gun is reasonably clean, at least), unlike the W231 load posted previously. Hey, they're still subsonic, and that's what matters. For my 9mm minor load, I think I'll try your load without changing the setup of my press, since I've got some 147gr plated bullets from you know who.įYI, my actual suppressor load (which that load was intended for, but this beat it out) is 5.0gr of Power Pistol with a CCI #400, yielding 155PF. Walküre, Your 147gr 1.165" OAL is the same OAL as my 9mm major load. 124gr MG CMJ 1.160" OAL, 5.0gr WW231, ~136PF (one of my two standard 9mm minor loads)ġ47gr Berrys Plated RN 1.165" OAL, 4.0gr WW231, ~138PF (a load originally developed for my suppressors some time ago, rejected in favor of a Power Pistol load) ![]()
